Ministers of Holy Communion

These ministers assist the Clergy to administer the bread and wine at the Eucharist when needed. This ministry may also extend to taking Holy Communion to the sick, the housebound and the dying within the Parish If you are unable to come to the Eucharist due to illness, please do contact the Team Rector who will be happy to arrange for this to happen. 

Ministry of Servers

We have a Team of Altar Servers who serve, on rota, at our services.  Additional members are always welcome.

Ministers of the Word

Members of the congregation read and lead the Intercessions at worship. If you would like to be part of this ministry please contact the Team Rector.

Children’s Ministry

Children are most welcome at all our services in Saint Petroc’s.  We have a dedicated team who lead their activities during the 10.00 am Family/Parish Eucharist on a Sunday. Additional help is always welcome.

Music Ministry

Music is the servant of the Sacred Liturgy. Saint Augustine said that he who sings prays twice. Through the medium of sacred music we actively participate in the process of the self-offering of Christ to the Father. We would welcome new comers to the choir and are looking for musicians to form a ‘Music Group’ and singers for a ‘Singing Group’ to assist us to raise our voices in song to the Lord. If you enjoy singing or play an instrument, then do let us know!

Ministry of Bellringing and Handbellringing

Ministers of the Liturgical Environment.

This ministry assists in the preparation of the Church building for the celebration of the Liturgy of the Church. Sacristans prepare the altar for the celebration for the Eucharist.  Flower arrangers assist in the preparation of the Liturgical space according to the Season. Cleaners and launderers ensure that the House of God / the House of God's People always maintains the necessary dignity for our celebrations. Participants are always warmly welcomed.

Ministry of Welcome

This ministry ensures a warm welcome to all who come to the community on a Sunday. The ministry begins at the door of the Parish Church and continues after the Eucharist on Sunday mornings in serving refreshments and extending fellowship to all who would care to take up the invitation to join us.
